Terms of service.

These Terms & Conditions govern all commissions, artwork purchases, and downloads from Lisa By Hand. By placing an order, you agree to the following:

1. Commissions & Process

  • All commissioned artwork (paintings, sketches, or digital portraits) is created by hand and is therefore subject to the artist’s unique style.

  • A brief/reference is required for custom work. The client is responsible for providing accurate and clear reference materials.

  • Minor adjustments can be made during the process, but significant changes outside the original brief may incur additional costs.

2. Lead Times & Delivery

  • Lead times are provided as a guideline only and are subject to change depending on the artist’s workload and schedule.

  • Artwork cannot be “rushed” as the creative process requires time and attention.

  • Physical artworks will be shipped once completed and payment has been received.

3. Payments

  • Full payment (or agreed deposit) is required before work begins.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate.

4. Refunds & Cancellations

  • No refunds are offered for change of mind or delays, as each artwork is made to order.

  • Refunds or corrections will only be considered if the final artwork does not match the agreed brief. In such cases, the artist reserves the right to amend or correct the work.

  • Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered.

5. Copyright & Usage

  • The artist retains all copyright and reproduction rights to the artwork unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • The client may display, gift, or use the artwork for personal purposes only.

  • The client may not reproduce, resell, or use the artwork commercially without the artist’s written consent.

6. Shipping & Handling (for physical artworks)

  • Shipping costs, packaging, and insurance (if applicable) are the responsibility of the client.

  • The artist is not responsible for delays, damages, or losses caused by third-party couriers once the artwork has been dispatched.

7. Agreement

By commissioning or purchasing artwork, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
